Pappy "Poohie" Tanner passed away at 5:45am the 28th May 2006.
Pappy was born on the 19th December 1992 and was the runt of the bunch.
His mother passed away giving birth and the pups were given out to be cared for by others.
I adopted Pappy and hand fed him till he was old enough to feed himself. He was a WONDERFUL FRIEND! Not thinking of himself as a dog, but as a Person :) He was extremely Gentle and Most Welcoming to everyone that would visit.
Everyone liked him and would commit on how well manner, gentle and playful nature he had developed.
Pappy "Poohie" Tanner, was very well in tuned to my own health, before I had each of my 3 strokes and 1 heart attack, before they hit me, he would pull on me wanting me to come outside and then once there, just sit down, but would get upset if I tried to get up. Sure enough in about 10 to 15 minutes, I had my strokes/attacks! And if I had stayed inside the home, no one would had ever known! But outside, I was seen by neighbors and helped.
Pappy was a Life Saver!
On his last day, Pappy had a stroke to which he did not recover from and at 5:45am passed away with the family beside him in the Livingroom. He outlived his siblings by 5 years!
Pappy "Poohie" Tanner will always be remembered as my Confidante' !
On the 30th May 2006, Altmeyers Pet Services cremated Pappy and his final service's will be held on the 19th Aug 2006, when his ashes will be interned at a Private Property Family Cemetery, where I will be located at also.
YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!
